Help / FAQ

Will editing change my original file?
No. Every edit is applied to a copy at export time. The original is never written to.
What formats does it open?
Anything QuickTime plays: MP4, MOV, M4V, and most camera and screen recordings. Exports are always H.264 in a QuickTime or MPEG-4 container.
Does transcription upload my video?
No. Transcription runs entirely on your Mac with Apple’s on-device speech models. The first use of a language downloads its model from Apple; after that it works offline.
Where are the keyboard shortcuts?
Help ▸ Keyboard Shortcuts inside the app. They match QuickTime 7 Pro: Space to play, arrow keys to step frames, I/O to set In and Out, ⌘T to trim.
Something broke.
Please email me what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead — a screenshot or the movie’s format (from Window ▸ Show Movie Properties) helps.
